Fat loss/muscle gain - workout routine? supplements? help!?

Question: Fat loss/muscle gain - workout routine? supplements? help!?

(Posted by: Anaesthesiac on 2010-01-01 06:13:56)

Hi There, At the moment i'm exercising hard 3 times a week for 45mins- 1hr, as well as doing 3 lots of light/ medium exercising with 1 rest day. My workout revolves around heavy bag/ boxing work, bench/ curl/ squat/ dumb- bell weights work, stationary/ mountain bike riding and mundane stuff like pushups, crunches, jogging/ walking etc. I've lost around 10 kilograms so far and seemed to have put on a little muscle but i want to intensify the results i'm getting. Currently i take L- Carnitine, Tribulus [BSc Vandrabol] and BSc LipoBurn [Caffeine/ Stimulant/ Diuretic]. I purchased Creatine Ethyl Ester but didn't like what i'd read about it's effect on the kidneys [whether it's true or not, it spooked me]. What i want to know is this: What works best for stripping fat and adding muscle? Do all these Branch Chain Amino Acids & Supplements do any good? If so which ones would suit my goal? What workout routine would aide my goal of fat loss/ muscle gain? I eat healthy. no junk, and drink minimal amounts of alcohol, lots of water etc. I just want to up my energy levels and intensify my results. Any advice/ experience you have to offer would be appreciated. cheers in advance :)

Your workout is not bad at all.. but i think u are working too many muscles at once. you should only train two muscles a workout try working out 4 - 5 days a week for 40 - 60 mins... one or two muscles a workout the supplments you should be taking are whey protein, glutamine, and some vitamin C, and vitamin D.. whey protein is always neccesary.. always.... glutamine is neccesary.... those other supplments u take.. they should only be cycled on and off.. get on them and get off them... 6- 8 weeks on.. and 5 - 6 weeks off.. too many supplments when taken in high does.. and for tooo long can be harder on your body... if u are interested in burning fat... keep doing your cardio 30 - 40 mins 4 times a week.. your workout chest mon tue biceps triceps wed back thur shoulders fri legs 3 - 4 exercises per muscle 4 sets each....

I dont about supplements to lose weight but if you're taking creatine then you're good. Lifting hard is good but if u wanna lose weight, you want to do appropriate weight around 12 times. If you can do it more than 12 times, then add more weights. Not less than 12 and not more than 12. That helps you lose fat and build muscle. Use this (coopersguns.com/ videos/ exercise-encyclopedia/ ) muscle map and set up your own routines. Also try to run 1mi+ 3 times a week. Maybe first week 1mi, next week 1.5mi, and keep adding. That will get you a good stamina.
